README

The Digital Trust Suite developed by SICPA is a family of software and services to easily build trustworthy relationships through the usage of portable and Verifiable Credentials, that are cryptographically secured, ensuring their authenticity and tamper-proof nature. The Digital Trust Suite provides capabilities to support the issuance, verification and revocation of Verifiable Credentials and the ancillary services required for their administration. The Digital Trust Suite is to be used by governments, public and private organizations or any entity that needs to play the role of an issuer or verifier in the Verifiable Credential Data Model.

The Digital Trust Suite is providing the required functionality via APIs and Back Office UIs.

In order to provide the functionality to issue a Verifiable Credential, the Digital Trust Suite may need to interface with two types of components, namely data sources and trust anchors.

Interacting with legacy data sources is needed to provide the data which will be in the Verifiable Credential, while the trust anchors, would be the infrastructure or service used to provide the assurance of trust when the data is verified, for example decentralized and immutable ledgers which are usually based on blockchain, or organizations responsible for issuing digital certificates, Certificate Authorities(CA).

At SICPA we are committed to becoming a thought leader, solution provider and trusted partner to help our clients successfully adapt to the disruption that this technology will trigger, as well as providing guidence and strategy for realising the multitude of benefits and optimisations which will manifest themselves upon a successful adoption.

If you have any questions about the SICPA , please do not hesitate to contact our team for more information.

Requirements & limitations

Current version of the Digital Trust Suite will allow you to perform complete issuance and verification flows, using either using AnonCreds and W3C JSON-LD VCs. Full DIDComm flows are available, as well as issuance with OpenID4VC using pre-auth flow.

You can start to explore the functionality by creating one or more organizations on the platform, creating a new DID for the Issuer role. This coupled with the creation of a test schema defintion to issue credentials you are ready to start issuing credentials from the Issuer wallet.
